3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Romans 5 3-5
When you are really comfortable and life is going well… thats when your relationship with God suffers the most! We start to think that we can live on our own and that we don’t really need Him after all. Some people become so blinded that as long as they go to church on sundays.. they feel that they’ve done enough for God.
God doesn’t need us. We need God. We need to stop doing things for God because God doesn’t need it. We need God to shape and change our lives. So be joyful in your sufferings because God is working in you. He’s giving you perseverance, character and hope.
What more do we want?
